Jorge Grau Rebollo

Jorge Grau Rebollo is PhD in Social Anthropology, professor in the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and member of the Research Group in Fundamental and Oriented Anthropology (GRAFO), where he co-manages the Research Team on Transcultural Study of Relationship (getp-GRAFO).
His pre and post-doctoral education in Anthropology was in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Queen’s University of Belfast (Northern Ireland), Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology, of Manchester University (England), where he was awarded Honorary Research Visitor twice, and Stanford University (United States), where he was Visiting Scholar on 2003.
His main research interests in the field of audiovisual anthropology are focused on the theoretical and methodological grounds of visual anthropology, the relationship between anthropology and cinema, and ethnographic cinema, fiction as strategy to approach reality and advertisement.
As professor, he has taught graduate and postgraduate courses in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain), Universidad Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain) and Universität Wien (Austria), besides seminars and brief courses in different Spanish, European and American universities.
He is author of different books and research papers on indexed national and international journals.
